Ezitrone-10 contains Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (MPA), a synthetic progestin similar to the natural hormone progesterone. It regulates ovulation and menstrual periods and is used to treat a variety of menstrual disorders and hormone-related conditions in women.
Mechanism of Action:
Medroxyprogesterone works by modifying the endometrium (lining of the uterus), suppressing ovulation, and inhibiting gonadotropin production through negative feedback on the hypothalamus and pituitary.
Indications:
- Amenorrhea (absence of menstruation) – primary or secondary
- Dysfunctional uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance
- Endometriosis (as part of hormonal therapy)
- Menstrual irregularities
- Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) – in combination with estrogens to prevent endometrial hyperplasia
- Contraception (in higher doses or injectable form)

Dosage & Administration:
