Medroxyprogesterone Injection comes with the branding “EZI-TRONE” and belongs to a category of medicines called progestogens for long-term contraceptive hormonal treatment. Family planning contraception is a process conducted to avoid unwanted pregnancies that may be hazardous to the family’s health.
Medroxyprogesterone Injection contains medroxyprogesterone acetate which is slightly different to the natural hormone known as progesterone, which is secreted by the ovaries approximately halfway through your menstrual cycle.
When using this medicine, the maturation of an egg and its release from the ovaries is inhibited during your period. There is no possibility of pregnancy if there’s no release of egg so that sperm cannot fertilise the egg.
