Hyoscine Butylbromide + Mefenamic Acid Tablets

Butybro is a fixed-dose combination of Hyoscine Butylbromide, a peripherally acting antispasmodic, and Mefenamic Acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This combination is formulated to provide dual action: relieving pain and spasms, especially in abdominal and gynecological conditions.

Mechanism of Action:

• Hyoscine Butylbromide: A muscarinic receptor antagonist that relaxes smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal, biliary, and genitourinary tract, reducing spasms.
• Mefenamic Acid: Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and fever

Indications:

• Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)
• Intestinal colic
• Renal and biliary colic
• Abdominal cramps and spasmodic pain
• Gynecological pain associated with spasm

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: One tablet 2–3 times daily after meals, or as directed by the physician
