Butybro is a fixed-dose combination of Hyoscine Butylbromide, a peripherally acting antispasmodic, and Mefenamic Acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This combination is formulated to provide dual action: relieving pain and spasms, especially in abdominal and gynecological conditions.
Mechanism of Action:
- Hyoscine Butylbromide: A muscarinic receptor antagonist that relaxes smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal, biliary, and genitourinary tract, reducing spasms.
- Mefenamic Acid: Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and fever

- Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)
- Intestinal colic
- Renal and biliary colic
- Abdominal cramps and spasmodic pain
- Gynecological pain associated with spasm
