Anemmaric Injection is an intravenous iron formulation containing Ferric Carboxymaltose, used for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in adult and adolescent patients who are intolerant to oral iron, have had an unsatisfactory response to oral iron therapy, or require rapid iron replenishment.
Mechanism of Action:
Ferric Carboxymaltose is a stable iron-carbohydrate complex that allows controlled release of iron. After administration, the complex is taken up by macrophages, and iron is gradually released for incorporation into hemoglobin and essential enzymes.
Indications:

- Iron deficiency associated with chronic kidney disease
- Situations requiring rapid correction of iron stores
Dosage & Administration:
- Administered intravenously either as a slow IV injection or infusion
- Dosage is based on patient’s weight and hemoglobin level
- Typically requires 1–2 doses for full correction of deficiency
Side Effects:
- Headache,
- Nausea,
- Dizziness,
- Flushing,
- injection site pain or discoloration
Precautions:
Not recommended in patients with iron overload, non-iron deficiency anemia, or known hypersensitivity to intravenous iron preparations. Use with caution in liver disease, infection, or during pregnancy and lactation under medical supervision.
